BASIC RIDER COURSE - Get Your Motorcycle License - 7:30am-5pm
A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE must be presented the first day of class. A good sense of two-wheeled balance is required – bicycle riding ability is a must.
The Basic Course is 15 hours of classroom and on bike instruction - approximately 75% of the course is on-cycle instruction. It provides fundamental knowledge and skill required for entry-level riders. MOTORCYCLES ARE SUPPLIED for this course and HELMETS ARE PROVIDED, if needed. Half or "shorty" helmets are not allowed as they may put the user at unnecessary additional risk. Upon successful completion of the course, the riding and written portion of the Colorado motorcycle license test may be waived. Many insurance companies offer a discount to graduates of this course. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation and Colorado Department of Transportation certify this course.
See FAQ section for a list of required apparel and equipment. PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY FOR EACH CLASS SESSION. Rain dates will be announced by the instructor.
